SironaTech - Model DAC -Direct Air Capture Technology
Direct Air Capture (DAC) is a technology that actively removes CO2 from the atmosphere by passing ambient air through specialized chemical filters. It offers a highly promising solution for addressing challenging-to-reduce emissions as well as historical emissions.
In the first step, our machines use fans to push air through a specialized chemical filter known as a solid sorbent. This sorbent effectively captures CO2 molecules while allowing other molecules to return to the air.
Next, we heat the sorbent using steam, which releases the captured CO2 in gaseous state.
Finally, we compress the CO2 and transfer it to our partners for permanent storage in geological formations.
We deploy to countries where we can leverage the exponential growth of renewable energy for an abundance of clean energy that will get cheaper over time.
Thanks to our access to abundant, clean and cheap energy, we can put more emphasis on building simple machines with very low capital expenditure (capex).
Our modular technology is completely built in a factory, not assembled in the field, which steepens the learning curve and brings costs down faster. It also allows us to start quickly and scale to very large sizes without managing multiple plants.
