Potential Engineering - Disc Oil Skimmer
Floating Disc Oil Skimmers are designed to efficiently remove free-floating oil from water. It finds application in oily water treatment and as oil spill response equipment. The skimmer incorporates multiple rotating discs which seize the oil that comes into contact with it. An oil scrapper separates the oil from the discs which is collected in an integrated oil collection tank. To transport collected oil a transfer pump is mounted on the skimmer head or on the shore. Floating Disc skimmers are offered in two variants viz., floating and fixed. Based on on-site conditions and client requirements we provide customized solutions in terms of automation and enhanced oily sludge phase conversion mechanism consisting of cutters and steam arrangement.

Floating Disc Oil Skimmers are robust and versatile equipment for oil recovery applications. The free-floating oil adheres to the rotating oleophilic disc. The skimmed oil is scraped into an integrated oil collection chamber. It is ideal for the removal of a wide range of light and medium viscous oils. Floating Disc-type Skimmers are effective and economical at the same time.
