Ditch Maintenance and Repair

Ditch maintenance and repair can be very labor intensive and can damage the fragile environment and vegetation next to either side of the ditch because an excavator will typically use a regular bucket or a mowing bucket to remove sediment. These will disturb and damage the vegetation on either side of the ditch, causing even further erosion control.

Ditch Doctor™ solves all these problems while significantly improving the efficiency of ditch cleaning and ditch maintenance. The ditch maintenance method with Ditch Doctor is used to create, restore and maintain efficient ditches and is gentle to the environment. This is an innovative excavator attachment which allows for a much faster, less labor-intensive and much more cost-effective method of ditch maintenance and ditch cleaning. Plus, the vegetation on the sides of the slope is not disturbed, thus preserving the immediate environment as well as preventing erosion.

One of the major benefits of the Ditch Doctor™ method is that the spoil is self-leveling so there is no need for any additional handling of the spoil. This new, innovative method immediately produces a viable ditch, requiring less maintenance and with significantly less impact on the environment. 

Minimal Environmental Impact

Traditional methods require the excavator operator to painstakingly remove sediment with a regular bucket or a mowing bucket. This requires placing sediment in a back of a truck and hauling away for disposal. Such methods are extremely slow and are very harmful to the environment. Ditch Doctor™ sprays the underlying sediment on the vegetation next to the ditch, thereby preserving and enhancing the environment. The soil is also evenly distributed and prevents erosion back into the ditch. There is no second operator waiting with a truck and the job requires only one operator. 

The Ditch Doctor™ can also create a two-stage ditch and work in up to three feet of water!
