dnEnviro - Passive Infrared (PIR) Motion Detection Sensor
Our PIR/Motion Detection sensor is an infrastructure free, self-configuring, energy-efficient product to monitor human/vehicle presence/activity. The PIR sensor is infrared-based and detects movement within a 2m to 8m range. Sensor deployment is very quick, as it needs no external power and no messy cables or Wi-Fi network. The sensors create their own mesh network, all you need to do is to turn the sensors on and the mesh network is ready to go. Sensors can be added or taken away; the network re-configures without any break in coverage subject of course to distance restrictions.
Each sensor in the mesh network relays information and acts as a router to ensure that the information reaches the final destination.
The sensors have compact design and AA batteries – up to 10 years battery life. There is an in-built battery status alert in the event a battery needs replacement. These sensors send information to the Inferrix Gateway or any other Inferrix Controller (for instance the Inferrix Lighting Controller to Switch On/Off lights), through the wireless mesh network they establish.
The Inferrix Gateways can send information from the sensors to the cloud via WAN/GPRS connectivity.
The PIR sensor comes with option of having a Lux or Luminosity Sensor and an AQI sensor built in.
