Domestic wastewater It can be defined as the water that people pollute by using them for various purposes in their homes. These wastewaters contain dissolved, suspended or colloidal organic or inorganic substances. Black water: Waste water used in toilets at home. In other words, it is defined as the water coming from the toilet, excluding the kitchen, shower, sink, dishwasher and washing machines.
Gray water: The water that goes to the sewer by using other than the toilet in the houses is gray water. It is the type of wastewater that has the cleanest content among wastewater. It is the waste water with the least pollutant in it. The source of this type of wastewater, which is described as gray water from domestic wastewater, can be counted as water from kitchen bathroom sinks, water from dishwashers and washing machines. Gray water constitutes a large part of domestic wastewater in terms of quantity. Nitrogen is the substance that most affects and increases the degree of pollution of domestic wastewater. Nitrogen is the most difficult substance to clean in drinking water. Most of the nitrogen in wastewater comes from black water. In gray water, the amount of nitrogen is quite low. Therefore, gray water is cleaned easier and faster than black water.
