Double Walled Fuel/Petroleum/Chemical Storage Tanks
Double walled tanks provide 100% secondary containment by wrapping a secondary steel wall completely around the primary tank leaving a small space called an interstice.The interstice allows a superior migration rate at less than one centimeter per second. Emergency vent fittings are standard per fire fire code.
Double Walled UL-2085:
Fireguard fire protected tanks have all the same qualities as a standard Highland Tank, but with added protection in compliance with UL-2085. The interstice is filled with a lightweight material that provides thermal insulation for a 2-hour minimum fire rating.
Double Walled UL-1446:
This double wall tank provides unique secondary containment. The outer thermoplastic tank is made from a high molecular weight polymer. This creates a tough, economical tank that meets the UL-1746 Standard.
