Downflow Wet Oxidation System: DWO
FromAquosys Co
The downflow wet oxidation system DWO developed by AQUOSYS significantly alleviates oxidation reaction conditions by applying a special catalyst along with a method in which reactants flow from top to bottom, unlike the general wet oxidation system. As the result, it has been possible to dramatically lower the manufacturing cost of the device and the operating cost of COD and TOC treatment of toxic and difficult-to-decompose ingredients.

Wet Oxidation System is an apparatus that decomposes toxic and refractory organic compounds into carbon dioxide and water, and low molecular weight organic acids, etc., by using oxidizing agent, such as air or hydrogen peroxide, etc.
We have developed and acquired a patent for Downward Wet Oxidation Apparatus (DWOA), which processes wastewater injected in the reactor from upside toward downside and discharges the reaction product, either gas or liquid, through the same discharging pipe.
Since reaction at high temperature is realized at a relatively low pressure with this apparatus, internal pressure of the system components can be lowered, which in turn can reduce the production cost dramatically.
