Drill Pipe Screens are a vital part of any directional drilling process because they protect your valuable equipment from solids that could damage your downhole tools or cause costly downtime.  We offer a variety of pipe screens with multiple inner and outer ring configurations.  SMS is your one-stop shop for all your pipe screen needs.

Perforated pipe screens are the most popular and are used for generally benign drilling environments with low flow rates and mild LCM.  These are manufactured with 304 and 17-4 Stainless Steel. SMS offers perforated pipe screens in lengths from 18” to 4’.  (Custom lengths also available) We have two thicknesses to choose from, according to your needs:

7 Gauge – (0.188” thick) 5/16” holes on 1/2” staggered pattern. Typically used when drilling with low flow rates

11 Gauge – (0.125” thick) 3/16” holes on 5/16” staggered pattern. Typically used when drilling with low to mid-range flow rates.
