The drum filter is a system made of stainless steel, designed for separating solids and liquids in the process and waste water sector. It is used in a wide variety of industrial sectors. From the inlet connection of the rotary filter, the waste water enters the filter drum, which consists of a steel construction covered with stainless steel wire mesh. The solids settle on this fabric and are conveyed upwards by the rotating filter drum. The level-dependent control of the drum rotation enables the build-up of a filter cake, which ensures an even higher separation effect. The filtrate flows down through the stainless steel filter mesh and thus returns to the pump circuit or the channel etc. The solids filtered out, which have been transported upwards by the rotating filter drum are blown downwards by a blow-off register. The falling solid parts reach the discharge conveyor, which can also be designed as a press, and are thus transported out of the filter drum.
