ProVentModel Intercept PV-Series -Ducted Vertical Cartridge Collectors

SHARE

The Intercept PV-Series vertical cartridge dust collector can capture and remove most industrial dusts from manufacturing operations. A unique CAM-LOC cartridge locking mechanism securely seals the filter cartridge to the clean air plenum to prevent dust bypass and making filter changing a breeze. A variety of system configurations are available to accommodate space restrictions and application-specific requirements.

All of our cartridge collectors come with industry leading NANO Web Fire Retardant filters. The NANO Web filters have an industry leading MERV-15 efficiency rating. Additionally, Nano Web filters release particulate more efficiently when pulsed. This allows the equipment to maintain advertised flow more consistently and at a lower pressure drop than other filters.

Explosion Vent

Explosion vents are critical safety components in dust collection systems, designed to release excess pressure in the event of a dust explosion. In certain industrial applications, combustible dusts can accumulate within dust collectors or ducting, creating the potential for ignition under specific conditions. If a dust ignition occurs, rapid pressure build-up can lead to an explosion.

Explosion vents act as pressure relief mechanisms, providing a designated outlet for the sudden release of built-up pressure, thus preventing structural damage to the dust collector and surrounding equipment. The vent panels are engineered to rupture at predetermined pressure levels, redirecting the explosion energy safely and minimizing the risk of harm to personnel or damage to property.

These vents are especially essential in industries like woodworking, metal processing, and grain handling, where fine particles can become airborne and ignite under the right conditions. By directing the pressure and flame outward through the explosion vent, these systems help contain the blast within the collector and prevent it from propagating through the facility. Incorporating explosion vents into dust collection systems ensures compliance with safety standards and reduces the risk of catastrophic events, making them indispensable for facilities handling combustible dusts.
