We use state-of-the-art software to take a concept and turn it into a reality, and no project is too complex. Whether we’re drafting a product from scratch or simply designing a replacement part for a corroded component, we’re able to turn rough sketches into comprehensive set of AutoCAD drawings.

A true Atlantic Canadian success story

Owners Lee Johnson and Fred Kennedy started out in a modest 800 sq. ft. building on Woodlawn Road in Dartmouth, back in 1986. Steve Crosby joined the team as Senior Site Supervisor, and the business focused on repairing fiberglass products and building boats.

In 1991, Dura-Tech upgraded to a 2,500 sq. ft. facility in Burnside Industrial Park in order to custom manufacture fiberglass tanks and marine products.

But the business kept growing, so we moved to our current location -- a 5,000 sq. ft. facility on Ross Road in Dartmouth -- back in 1995. The larger space allowed us to upgrade to a Binks Spray Booth, Magnum Chopper and Gelcoat guns, and a complete woodworking section for mould-making.

In 2004, we expanded our aquaculture and chemical tank manufacturing operations, and began producing a full inventory of production moulds. Today, our clients include aquaculture farms, universities, processing plants, and government facilities across Canada and the U.S. -- and many of them have been with us for more than 20 years.
