Nordic Electrochemistry - ECi Booster Current Amplifier for Potentiostat
The ECi Booster, designed by Nordic Electrochemistry, is a current amplifier capable of enhancing the current output from a potentiostat or galvanostat like the ECi-200. This booster effectively increases the current delivery up to 30A by amplifying the analogue signals received from the potentiostat. It operates seamlessly with EC4™DAQ Software, ensuring efficient control and data acquisition during electrochemical experiments. A notable feature of the ECi-Booster is its integration of safety mechanisms that allow external sensors to monitor critical conditions such as excess temperature or gas production. In response, the safety sensor can signal the booster to halt current delivery, thereby protecting the experimental setup and operator. This functionality makes the ECi Booster an essential tool in advanced electrochemical research, offering enhanced control and safety.
ECi-Booster with the ECi-200 potentiostat powered by the EC4™DAQ Software has several features that are very helpful to improve the success of the electrochemical experiments:
- Control over Current, electrode potential and cell potential.
- EIS capabilities
- FFT diagnostics – minimize the noise at its source
- Solution resistance compensation
- Online measurement of the effective solution resistance
ECi-Booster can be controlled by an external safety sensor. Under some critical condition, such as excess temperature or gas evolution, the safety sensor can send a signal to the booster, which would then cut current output.
