Eden - Advanced Water Cleaning System
Many landfills today have problems with certain heavy metals and PFAS, as well as similar substances. Eden Aquatech in collaboration with partner are experts in designing optimized solutions for these specific problems. We don`t just use a single technology, but customize each solution using a combination of different technologies. In the list below, you will find a brief description of the technologies we use for advanced water purification.
Chemical precipitation
By adding flocculants, we can affect the chemistry of the water. Then a significant part of both the organic content, any oil and a large number of heavy metals are precipitated.
Flotation
An effective technique for removing particles and flocs that have formed. In a flotation plant, microbubbles are used to lift the sludge to the surface, where it is then scraped off. This results in a purified water phase and a thick sludge.
Ceramic membranes
Used to ensure effective removal of a number of heavy metals. We use ceramic, flat plate membranes that can withstand almost anything and are robust enough to be used in a landfill. The membranes are microfiltered so that there is no concentration of the salts.
Adsorption
With this method, both PFAS, PAH and other types of pesticides can be removed. Their chemical properties mean that they bind to either an ion exchanger or to activated carbon. This cleans the water phase, while the pollution components are trapped on the carbon.
Sludge drainage
In most types of treatment, a sludge is formed which can be advantageously dewatered to reduce the volume. The technology for dewatering depends on the composition of the sludge, but we have, for example, installed a number of filter presses.
