Genesol - Model 764 -EDTA Free Membrane Cleaner (Alkaline Powder)
Genesol 764 has been developed as a general-purpose cleaner for a wide range of organic based foulants found in Reverse Osmosis and Nano-filtration membrane systems. This formulation contains a high performing environmentally friendly chelant replacing EDTA. Genesol 764 is particularly effective against clay (aluminium silicate), which can be difficult to remove with conventional cleaners, it is also effective in cleaning Ultra-Filtration & MicroFiltration systems.
- Suitable for use in Reverse Osmosis (RO) and NanoFiltration (NF) membranes
- Removes most organic deposits
- Cost effective powdered product
- Compatible with all polyamide membranes
- Removes aluminium silicate
- NSF listed
- EDTA free
- Classified as non hazardous for transport
Genesol 764 should be used as a 1 - 2% solution at a stabilized pH of 10.5-11.5 in membranes with organic fouling. Genesol 764 should be alternately soaked and recycled through the membrane system for 2 - 4 hours; cleaning with warm solutions considerably improves the cleaning performance. After cleaning, the membrane system should be thoroughly flushed, until the pH values of the feed and the discharge are the same. Cleaning solutions of Genesol 764 will have a tendency to foam. Genesol 764 contains bubble generating technology to gently agitate and lift membrane foulants away from the surface increasing cleaning efficiency
Genesol 764 is readily soluble in water. Solutions of Genesol 764 should be used immediately after preparation.
Genesol 764 is a powder blend of mixed cleaners, including a surfactant, a biodegradable chelant and inorganic phosphate. It is compatible with carbon steel and commonly used materials of construction found in membrane plants and CIP installations. Genesol 764 is classified as non-hazardous for transport and has been rigorously tested to ensure the same level of cleaning efficiency as the existing 700 series of powdered cleaners.
