Elcometer - General Valve (GV)
The Elcometer General Valve is highly durable, easy to use and fast to service, providing enhanced levels of efficiency across a wide range of abrasive blasting projects.
The valve`s fine tuning mechanism enables precision control of abrasive flow which can be adjusted even whilst blasting to save downtime.
Suitable for a wide range of media types, its Elcometer-engineered design prevents the valve body from coming into the contact with the abrasive stream to ensure a long life span. And, as the elcoTOUGH™ Rubber Liner lasts up to three times longer than market alternatives, less frequent maintenance regimes are needed.
Available in two versions, owners of an Elcometer 1020 Blast Machine can opt for the Mini General Valve. Alternatively, the larger 25mm (1") General Valve can be installed to most Blast Machines available on the market.
When developing Elcometer`s General Valve, our design team recognised that a finer thread would provide blasters greater control over abrasive fed into the mixer `T`. As such, they set out to improve upon the industry standard of coarser, `corkscrew style` threads.
The outcome of this was increased precision, with operators using the General Valve being able to minimise the amount of abrasive used in the blast process, therefore saving money and reducing cleaning costs.
Accurate, wear resistant and suitable for all abrasive media types, the Elcometer General Valve is perfect for use with agressive abrasive materials such as steel shot, grit or aluminium oxide.
This is thanks to our elcoTOUGH™ Rubber Liner which protects the valve whilst lasting up to three times longer than market alternatives.
Elcometer General Valves can be quickly upgraded into an Automatic General Valve using our conversion kit.
This provides you with all the benefits which come as standard with our General Valves but with the added ability to shut off the blast stream and media flow directly from the nozzle.
