Markleen Ecoreel - Model THT -Electric Winders for Deploying and Storing Containment Booms
The ECOREEL THT is a fully enclosed, state-of-the-art, electric boom reel, incorporating everything necessary to deploy up to 600 metres of self-inflatable oil boom quickly and safely. The hard cover is fitted with roll-up doors, protecting the equipment against severe weather, UV light and vandalism. To operate the reel only an electrical connection is required, making it instantly usable without the need for a hydraulic power pack or hydraulic hoses. Operation is by radio remote control, allowing personnel to stay at a safe distance whilst maintaining full control over the reel.
The ECOREEL makes boom recovery possible without physically being in contact with the boom under tension, as the boom is distributed automatically on the drum as the reel slowly sways from one side to the other on its turntable base.
The ECOREEL THT, with its proven and patented design, is corrosion protected according to offshore specifications (Norsok M- 501) for long product durability and minimum maintenance in marine environments.
