QRM - Model D100 -Electron Density Phantom for CT/CBCT Calibration in Radiation Therapy
The QRM Electron Density Phantom, model D100 (QRM-90110), is designed for the precise calibration of Hounsfield Units (HU) versus electron density in CT and CBCT radiotherapy treatment plans. This device includes five interchangeable tissue-equivalent material inserts that mimic real human tissues in terms of physical and electron density, consistent with ICRU Report 44 and 46. These properties are vital for accurate radiation oncology treatment planning. The phantom ensures an accuracy of ± 5 HU from the specified values, providing a reliable standard for the calibration processes necessary in medical imaging and therapy planning systems.
- D100 compatible
- Calibration of radiation oncology treatment plans
- Optimization of the delivered dose to the patient
- Provides realistic tissue simulation and values within the higher density range (bones)
- Further/multiple tissue-equivalent inserts are available upon request
The QRM-90110 houses 5 different exchangeable tissue-equivalent material inserts used for the HU to electron density calibration of CT/CBCT scanners and radiation therapy treatment planning systems.
All tissue-equivalent materials represent the real human tissue with respect to physical density and electron density (acc. to ICRU Report 44 and 46) which are of highest interest in radiation oncology treatment planning
