Hengtong - Electroplating Deionized Water Equipment
In the electroplating and coating surface treatment industry, according to electroplating process requirements, to increase the surface smoothness, brightness, and adhesion of plated parts, the preparation of electroplating solutions requires pure water with a conductivity below 15 μS/cm. Additionally, electroplating pure water with a conductivity below 10 μS/cm is needed for rinsing plated parts. Pure water systems in the electroplating industry are mainly used for preparing electroplating solutions before electroplating and for rinsing plated parts; furthermore, they address the recovery of rare metals from wastewater after electroplating rinsing and the zero-discharge system for recycling rinsing water.
This equipment mainly utilizes reverse osmosis technology to produce pure water; the conductivity of pure water produced through the reverse osmosis membrane can reach below 10 μS/cm. Reverse osmosis technology is currently the most advanced and energy-efficient membrane separation technology. Its principle is that under pressure higher than the osmotic pressure of the solution, other substances cannot pass through the semi-permeable membrane, thus separating these substances from water. Because of the extremely small pore size of reverse osmosis membranes (filtration accuracy of 0.0001 microns), the desalination rate of the system`s produced water can reach approximately 99%. Therefore, it can effectively remove dissolved salts, colloids, microorganisms, and organic matter from the water (removal rate as high as 97-98%). Reverse osmosis pure water equipment has advantages such as high-quality produced water, low energy consumption, no pollution, simple process, and easy operation. It is currently widely used in industrial pure water production processes.

This equipment is designed to meet the specific process requirements of different plating parts. Electroplating and coating primarily utilize pure water and ultrapure water equipment. Generally, pure water with a conductivity below 10 µS/cm is sufficient for electroplating processes such as plastic electroplating, metal electroplating, zinc plating, chromium plating, chemical plating, electrophoresis, and surface coating for automotive, home appliance, and building materials products. Ultrapure water equipment (generally with a resistivity of 10 megohms) is mainly used for products requiring high-quality coating surfaces, such as silver plating, gold plating, and coated glass.
