The EMZ compact series motors are designed to offer comprehensive solutions for a variety of standard applications. These motors are recognized for their high reliability, largely due to the selection of premium materials and the optimized design of their active components, which collectively reduce energy losses and enhance overall efficiency. They offer flexible application options with outputs reaching up to 2,000 kW, suitable for use with frequency converters, soft starters, or direct mains operation. Compact three-phase slip ring motors

The EMZ compact series with our AKR and ASR motors can be used as an all-rounder for almost all standard applications and is characterised by a very high degree of reliability. IC 411
The rib-cooled EMZ motors with cooling type IC 411 are self-cooled and dissipate the heat loss to the outside cooling air via the ribbed motor housing and the end shields. The innovative dual-circuit cooling system with an internal cooling air circuit and an internal fan that is independent of the direction of rotation achieves an even temperature distribution in the motor.

IC 416
Cooling type IC 416 is constructively based on the proven cooling type IC 411, but differs in that the forced ventilation unit is mounted on the nondriving side and blows the external air axially over the cooling ribs, independent of the motor speed. This design guarantees a constant cooling capacity independent of the motor speed and is particularly suitable for variable-speed applications in combination with a frequency converter.

IC 511
EMZ motors with cooling type IC 511 are designed with concentric tube cooling, where the cooling tubes are rolled directly into the end walls of the stator housing. The steel-welded construction guarantees a uniform heat transfer from the inner cooling air to the outer cooling air circuit. Due to the compact design, the motors are very robust and torsion-resistant despite their low overall height.
