Two words define the DMECO project and its creator / founder Donato Mottola: VISION and ENTERPRISE . The history of DMECO began 30 years ago in a garage where Donato Mottola, objector and generator maintenance worker, decided he wanted something more. His desire to emerge and his stubbornness, combined with a clear vision of the future, lead Mr. Mottola to take an interest in a market niche, that of canopies for generators. Thus was born the first prototype, but Donato Mottolahe understands all too well how this is not enough without anyone making his product known. He thus turns to a marketing expert who is responsible for proposing his product in the north-east. Thus began the history of DMECO.

In a few years DMECO went from a garage to 4,600 square meters of warehouse and 10,000 square meters of yard , to investments of one million euros in machinery, to 50 employees. What today we would define as a start-up, becomes a real industrial reality, starting from a difficult territory like Southern Italy. In 2008 the crisis arrives and, like all entrepreneurs, Donato Mottola is also affected.

But what for others was a severe blow, which in many cases led to the closure of various businesses, was only a small setback for DMECO.

It is in the crisis that inventiveness, discoveries and great strategies arise. Whoever overcomes the crisis overcomes himself without being overcome. "

Donato Mottola made a highly expansive commercial strategy out of these words. His resourcefulness led him, at a time when others were "hiding", to emerge and propose himself to foreign markets, from Australia to Cambodia , from the United Kingdom to Dubai , from the United States to Russia .

Starting from the English market, in 2008 DMECO was present at EIMA, and since then every edition of the fair has seen this Apulian miracle always in the front row. Thus were born DMECO UK , DMECO USA , DMECO Russia , and from Puglia Donato Mottola set out to conquer the global market.

His story is not just the story of an entrepreneur, but it is the story of the positive side of globalization, a story of vision and enterprise, a story of Italian excellence in the world. Donato Mottola has, among others, a peculiarity that defines him and defines his action: when he is concentrated he draws a perspective with a dot at the bottom.

That dot is the future, and it is not far and dark, it is simply to be reached.
