Envirowater - Colifast Field Kit
The Colifast Field Kit is a portable tool for the field detection of coliform bacteria in water. The device has three methods: The Rapid Rapid Method, In-person / absence, Quantitative (MPN).
The primary mode of the Kit is a rapid method that provides a response from 75 minutes to 2 hours (limited to levels above 500 cfu/100ml). Additionally, the kit includes a quantitative MPN (Most Probable Number) method and presence/absence results.
The Kit procedures are very easy to perform and do not require any specific laboratory skills. The Colifast Field Kit comes in a metal case that includes all the equipment necessary for water analysis.
The Colifast Micro Detector (CMD) present in the device is used in combination with a specific culture medium to detect the target bacteria. Combined, they provide a simple, fast-result analysis that quantifies the amount of coliform and thermotolerant bacteria in the water. The kit methods are based on patented Colifast AS technology.
