Zetas - Epoxy Painted Activated Carbon Filter Systems
Activated carbon filter systems are widely used in purification works. These are the systems used to remove odor caused by bad gases in water, improve color and taste, and soften water. Activated carbon filter systems are systems that are widely used to keep the chlorine of drinking water that is over chlorinated, especially city mains water, and to remove the pollution caused by undissolved organic and inorganic substances in the water.
The carbon substances, which form the basis of this treatment system, increase the surface area 100 times with the activation process, and they perform the filtration process by absorbing the organic substances. It is seen that it is quite effective in removing some heavy metals harmful to human and animal health. There are two types of powder activated carbon and granular activated carbon. Coconut shell, wood, coal and petroleum wastes are the raw materials used in the production of activated carbon.
When the study of active carbon filter systems is examined; Pressurized water coming to the activated carbon filter at a certain pressure passes through the filter in a pre-calculated time. Thus, it carries out the purification process by eliminating the problems such as taste, odor, excessive chlorine or organic and inorganic substances in the water, discoloration, which we need undesirable filtering.
As in most water treatment systems, filters used in activated carbon filter systems must be cleaned by being subjected to continuous backwashing. Otherwise, it will cause a decrease in efficiency in the system due to the substances held by the filters over time.
In activated carbon filter systems, coconut (coconut) based activated carbon or blind sourced activated carbon are generally used as filling material.

FRP Tank means fiber reinforced polymer tank. FRP tank is used in water treatment systems between 20 cm and 160 cm diameters. These tanks are manufactured by wrapping fiber reinforced polyester on the polyethylene sheath. It is highly resistant to pressure because its outer surface is fiber-wrapped. Although FRP tanks are highly resistant to positive pressure, they are not very resistant to vacuum. Therefore, vacuum breaker must be applied in applications. Lateral diffusers are used as the sub-distribution structure. Another feature of these tanks is that they are lighter than steel tanks, so they are easier to transport. It is rust resistant. Since these tanks are produced with computer control, they are high performance and reliable. In this respect, frp tank usage areas are quite wide.
The general usage areas of Frp tanks are as follows;
- sand filter systems
- Activated carbon filter systems
- Iron and manganese purification systems
- water softening systems
- Well water treatment systems
- sea water purification system
- In systems such as artesian water treatment systems,
the frp tank is frequently preferred in almost every sector due to the above-mentioned advantages.
