ESERA - Model ESI 400 -4-fold Digital Input Module
The ESERA ESI 400 4-fold digital input module is specifically designed for efficient monitoring and query of status changes from various sources like push-buttons, switches, or reed contacts. This compact in-wall mountable module operates effectively with a 5 - 12V DC power supply and consumes a maximum of 20mA. Notable features include compatibility with the DS2408 instruction set and support for Auto-E-Connect functionality for seamless integration. It's equipped with screw terminals for 0.2 - 1.5qmm cable cross-section and supports a cable length per input of up to 20 meters, ensuring flexible installation options. Additionally, the onboard LED display provides real-time information on power status and signal changes from the inputs.

The ESI 400 4-fold digital input module makes it easy to query push-buttons, switches or reed contacts (magnetic switches).
For example, the status of doors, windows, fire dampers or a garage door can be recorded by simply installing a reed switch at a suitable location and connecting it to the DI module. The status LED flashes when there are signal changes at the inputs.
Even short switching pulses, e.g. from buttons, are detected by the ESI 400 module and stored until the next readout cycle.
The ESI 400 4-fold DI module can be connected directly to switches or push-buttons. No external power supply is required for the switches. The module can be supplied with a 5V - 12V operating voltage.
