EUT - Model DT -Disk Tube Membrane Modules
The EUT-DT Module is constructed by alternately stacking membrane cushions with hydraulic disks on a tension rod. The hydraulic disks support the membrane cushions and provide flow channels for the feed liquid to pass over the membranes. After passing through the membrane material, permeate flows through collection channels out of the module to a product recovery tank.
A stack of cushions and disks is housed in a pressure vessel. Flanges seal the ends of the module in the pressure vessel and provide the feed water input and the product (permeate) and reject (concentrate) output connections.
The ultrasonic welded membrane cushion consists of two membrane sheets with a permeate carrier placed in between.
EUT-DT modules are available with Nanofiltration (NF) and Reverse Osmosis (RO) membranes and the operating pressure ranges from 75 bars to 120 bars.
Due to the open channel construction, EUT Disk Tube membrane modules offer superior fluid dynamics, which drastically reduce fouling and scaling on the membrane. EUT Disk Tube open channel modules are able to tolerate difficult to treat wastewater with higher suspended solids and higher organic and inorganic wastewater.
EUT-DT modules are operated in parallel. Depending the flow rate of booster pumps, multiple parallel passes can be arranged to form a block. Multiple blocks will allow for additional concentration to achieve the targeted recovery rate.
Depending on local government regulations regarding permeate discharging standard and the contamination level, wastewater can be treated through a multi-stage system.
