Tests for: Total Chlorine & Ozone (must be used with DPD-1)This eXact® Strip DPD-3 (Potassium Iodide) is to be used in conjuction with an existing eXact® Strip DPD-1 sample, to get Total Chlorine results:
Continue testing by adding to same DPD-1 test portion, one eXact® Strip DPD-3 and for 0 seconds move eXact® Strip with back and forth motion (at gentle rate of about two moves per second). This motion releases reagents and mixes simultaneously. Remove Strip and discard in trash. Allow chemistry to form full color by waiting two minutes. Take photometer reading displayed and record for future reference. This reading is Total Chlorine concentration as parts per million (ppm) or milligrams per Liter (mg/L).
