Feen Marine - Model SOxBOX -Exhaust Gas Cleaning System for Ships
Feen Marine's Exhaust Gas Cleaning System (EGCS), often known as scrubbers, is engineered to efficiently reduce sulfur oxides from ship engine and boiler exhaust gases. The system enhances sulfur dioxide (SO2) reduction by decreasing fuel sulfur content from 3.50% to 0.1%, surpassing the global compliance requirement of 0.5%. The innovative SOxBOX design offers significant advantages over traditional scrubbers, including a 60% smaller physical footprint and up to 80% reduction in installation weight, eliminating the need for funnel modifications. When planning is optimal, installation time can be decreased by 70%. The system is integrated with a control mechanism and gas analyzers that are pre-tested, reducing commissioning times. Additionally, the device is engineered for minimal power consumption, pressure decrease, and easier maintenance, enhancing overall operational efficiency. The EGCS is shipped in standardized dimensions, avoiding special transport requirements and decreasing transport costs. Its design comprises few internal parts, controlled by a PLC system for effective data management and logging.
EGCS (often referred to as Scrubbers) are able to remove Sulphur oxides from ship engines and boiler exhaust gasses.
The SO2 reduction efficiency of our scrubbers corresponds to a reduction in fuel Sulphur content from 3.50% to 0.1% - exceeding the required level of compliance with the global cap of 0.5%.
A new design of EGC System with unique benefits such as:
- Substantially smaller footprint (reduced up to 60% of conventional scrubbers).
- Up to 80 % lighter installation in weight, no modification of funnel.
- Up to 70% saving in installation time if properly
- planned.
- Highly reduced commissioning time (control system and gas analyzers are integrated in the scrubber and tested at production site).
- Significant cost reduction for engineering.
- Transportation in standardized dimension, no special transport required, hence dramatically lower cost and easy transportation methods.
