To use Scarlet’s WS-E10/WSD-E11 safely in your work environment according to OSHA and other explosion protection regulations, you must follow the noted instructions while using the device.
The sensor part of the wireless anemometer can be installed in hazardous area Zone 1/2, however, to protect the user’s and workplace safety, the receiver or so called monitor can only be used in non-hazardous area. Also, it is recommended to have approved intrinsic safety barriers between hazardous area and non-hazardous area with control equipments.
