Colubris - Externally Fed Rotary Screen
The rotary screen is equipped with a special, exceptionally low speed, drive. The exceptionally slow rotation speed will maximize the retention time of the screenings on top of the drum. Any surges in water flow will be diverted back to the pump station via the screen’s overflow weir.
Wedge is widest on the inside, so slots block more difficult. Additionally, the wastewater passes the screen twice. At the first pass it leaves solids behind on the drum, in the second pass blockages are flushed.
Adjustable moisture content of the screeningsThe slower the screen rotates the longer water will seep from the screenings and the dryer the screenings will become.
