Falcon Industries specializes in custom helicoid flight for various applications across multiple industries. The company stands out due to its investment in advanced winding technologies, allowing for tighter pitches and tolerances superior to current industry standards. A helicoid flight involves the continuous formation of a one-piece helix from a square, rectangle, or round bar, or cut plate. Due to the steel flow during manufacturing, the cross-section tapers from thicker on the ID to thinner on the OD. Falcon leverages unique equipment to produce helicoid flight with a thicker external edge and consistently tighter tolerances. This manufacturing capability extends to diameters up to 36 inches using flat bar thicknesses of up to 1.5 inches and widths up to 6 inches, and round bars up to 2.5 inches in diameter. Additionally, the company can produce twisted, centerless flight as necessary. Unlike sectional flighting that requires welding individual segments, helicoid flight is a continuous length, reducing the need for splices and welding, thus enhancing assembly efficiency. Since its establishment in 1982, Falcon Industries has dealt with challenging projects, providing high-precision, custom solutions while maintaining reliable delivery schedules. They are a dominant provider of custom augers and auger flighting both domestically and internationally.

Falcon Industries provides customized helicoid flight for a variety of applications across multiple industries. We continue to invest in our equipment and employee-owners. A recent investment in our winding technologies has advanced our capabilities to offer tighter pitches and tolerances than the current industry standards. We manufacture all of our products to our customers’ individual requirements and designs, carefully protecting their intellectual property.

Helicoid flight is a continuous one-piece helix formed from a square or rectangle bar, round bar, or cut plate. The cross-section of all helicoid flight tapers in thickness from wider on the ID to narrower on the OD due to the flow of steel in the manufacturing process.

Falcon’s custom equipment and methods produce helicoid flight with a thicker outside edge and tighter tolerances than traditional flight. We have the ability to roll helicoid flight in diameters up to 36” using flat bar thicknesses up to 1-1/2” and widths up to 6” and round bars up to 2-1/2” diameter. We can even use these machines to create twisted, centerless flight where the job demands it.

Helicoid flighting is one continuous length as opposed to sectional flight, consisting of individual turns or segments that must be welded together. Therefore, helicoid flight lessens the amount of splices required in assembly and welding compared to sectional flight. Due to Falcon’s unique equipment, we can produce helicoid flight and complete screw products with more consistency, tighter tolerances, and at a lower cost than other suppliers.
