The fresh water generator produces distilled water from seawater. It operates on the principle of vacuum distillation. Water evaporates in the lower part of the FWG and raises to the top. Solid particles remain in the brine which is returned overboard. Steam condenses and exits from the top part of the FWG. Farad FWG contains tubular heat exchangers which have proven reliability and provide high efficiency and easy maintenance.

Application

It is used on most ships, as well as coastal facilities, that require fresh water or high purity water. The FWG requires a source of high temperature freshwater to operate, such as jacket water or steam.

Capacity

Model range: 15, 20, 25 30, 35 and 40 m3/day of distilled water. Contact Farad to request a quote based on your jacket water temperature and flowrate.

Materials

Materials are sourced from reputable EU manufacturers and material thickness is higher than that required by the relevant design code. The heat exchanger is designed to have a long service life. Tubes are seamless drawn
