Fbg Sensor Based Shm
The Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) Sensor Interrogator is a compact, rugged, dynamic interrogator module designed for demanding aerospace applications. This a fully-integrated, high-resolution measurement system, features a high power, high speed swept wavelength laser, state-of-art embedded system for signal processing. The interrogator core employs advanced hardware peak detection, optimized for rapid data processing of many simultaneous FBG sensors. It has four optical channels that are simultaneously sampled at 10 Hz for measurement of FBG strain and temperature sensors. Each optical channel has an 80 nm wavelength range (1510 to 1590 nm), which can typically scan up to several FBG sensors per channel (more than 2 FBG sensors per module, depending on sensor range and sensitivity). You can further extend the maximum number of FBG sensors per module by connecting one or more optical channels to an external optical multiplexer.
