IdemagFerrite Magnets

SHARE

Ferrite magnets, also called ceramic, are made through a sintering process. They are composed of a mixture based on iron oxide plus strontium or barium and a ceramic binder, crushed and pressed, with a very fine granulometry. If during the pressing process, the particles are oriented by applying a magnetic field, the end result is an anisotropic magnet. If this process is not done, the end result is an isotropic magnet.

Anisotropic quality has higher magnetic values than isotropic quality. Our technical department will recommend the appropriate grade for each application.

It is a type of magnet especially indicated for the manufacture of magnetic separation systems in installations for the treatment of medium and large grain sizes.

  • The maximum working temperature is 250ºC.
  • Offered in a wide range of sizes and shapes.
  • Maximum working temperature higher than neodymium magnets.
  • Powerful magnetic field.
  • Low cost raw material and not subject to large market fluctuations.
  • Loudspeakers
  • Brushless motors
  • Permanent magnet DC motors
  • Alarm systems
  • Separation, transportation and magnetic lift.

Ceramic or ferrite magnets, due to their manufacturing process, are brittle. They must be properly packed for storage and transportation.

All measures indicated are by way of example and do not imply availability for immediate delivery. In our warehouses we have more than 2,000 different sizes in stock. We can produce any proposed measure.

  • The standard tolerance on ferrite magnets is +/- 2% in all dimensions, except thickness where it is +/- 0.1 mm.
