Filtration System
Turbidity, which is the most significant parameter of pollution in all kinds of water, is mainly caused by suspended solids, organic substances, silica, sediment, etc. Among such pollutants, those with a specified diameter size can be treated using multimedia filtration units.
HZR TECHNO Series Sand Filters, filter the incoming water by passing it at a certain velocity, through the layers of sand, pebble and anthracite having various diameters. These filters also ensure that the systems prosecuting the sand filters are protected from the damage.
Sediments accumulate on the filter mineral after a certain operation time in the system. The system switches to backwashing process automatically. Backwashing is the process, where the water with high flow rate flows in opposite flow direction of the normal operation and washes the filter mineral and thereby tears down and removes the accumulated sediments. In HZR TECHNO series sand filters, regeneration process can be performed automatically, without any human intervention, based on the required time or pressure difference.
The most important parameters affecting the efficiency of the multimedia filters include the quantities, correct arrangements, chemical structures, and granulomere characteristics of the minerals and properly selected velocity of filtration. The filtration sensitivity in a filter housed properly and with an appropriate filtration velocity matching the pollution load, is below 10 microns. HZR TECHNO series sand filters remove high levels of iron and manganese, especially in waters with high toxic parameters, including iron and manganese, without the need for potassium permanganate dosage, by using a sort of catalytic mineral. Furthermore, hydrogen sulfite, methane and organic wasles that may be found in the water can be partially removed. Considering the water sources in our country where iron and manganese are among the most frequent pollutants, this forms a critical solution that allows treatment of water, providing a significant saving in terms of the consumption of chemicals.
