Traditionally Bunsen burners are widely used as standard equipment for routine flame sterilization work. However, the danger of working with traditional Bunsen burners connected to a gas distribution system should not be underestimated. A major source of danger is posed by burners that leak highly flammable gas. The FIREBOY Portable Safety Bunsen developed by INTEGRA is a safe alternative. FIREBOY not only prevents the danger of gas leaks, but also reduces the risks of fire or burns if unintentionally left on.

DVGW (German Technical and Scientific Association for Gas and Water) safety certified, FIREBOY ensures highest application safety by preventing the risk of gas leakage and explosion. Using FIREBOY, gas flows only if the flame is consciously ignited.
When the flame is inadvertently extinguished, FIREBOY automatically attempts to reignite the flame. If it fails to reignite, the gas valve is closed to prevent gas leakage. An automatic shut off after a user-defined maximum burner time eliminates any danger if the unit is unintentionally left on.

All functions of FIREBOY are easily accessed by the intuitive user interface. Gas ignition is both rapid and safe – FIREBOY requires no lighter or matches. The FIREBOY can be operated in different operation modes. Automatic ignition, triggered by the optical sensor or the foot switch, allows non-contact operation.

FIREBOY requires only minimal bench space. It is robust and can not tip over during use. The smooth, chrome-plated metal housing is easy to clean and provides both UV and solvent resistance.
The folding stand at the base can be used to incline the device. In this way, the burner chamber is protected from spillages when working with liquids.
