Sotrad Water was created by Jean-Charles De Muylder in December 2009 .

With his experience as an agricultural engineer and more than 25 years of professional life in Africa, it seemed important to him to provide solutions to enable rural populations in emerging countries to have access to drinking water through units of pumping, treatment, storage and distribution that best integrate the realities on the ground in these decentralized areas and all too often excluded from traditional investment plans.

Thanks to its teams of engineers motivated by the innovative integration of technologies and by a solid field experience, Sotrad Water is working to actively participate in increasing access to water for rural and peri-urban populations for the development of emerging countries.

The company also plays an important role in economic development by contributing to the promotion of local productions on the national and international market (breeding, food products, hygiene standards for export, etc.)

The values of the industrial project are focused on the sustainable development of rural and decentralized areas.

Sotrad Water has installed pumping, treatment and storage equipment in more than 20 countries in Africa, Asia and Central America.
