The pump control using the 821 sensor requires no float switches. The 821 sensor operates on the principle that when a pump is pumping liquid, it will draw higher kw than when it runs on snore. The 821 controller senses the reduction in kw when the pump begins to snore and shuts off the pump. After a short period of time, the sensor will switch the pump on again. The "off time" is an inverse ration of the "on time." For example, a longer "on time" will result in a shorter "off time," and vice versa.
