Cobett - Model LB -Floatless Valve System for Watering
The Model LB with Floatless Valve System is designed to offer reliable winter endurance for livestock watering needs. Utilizing ground heat, it ensures the entire tub of water remains warm to prevent freezing, even under zero traffic conditions. The system includes a unique floatless valve, which is sensitive and requires a strainer due to the complexity of its diaphragm actuation that responds to water weight. The water level in this valve may vary slightly due to atmospheric and water pressure changes. The floatless valve is adjusted using an included tool. The waterer itself measures 29 inches in diameter and 48 inches in height. It features a polyethylene plastic construction for both the tub and float, ensuring durability. The base tube, available in various lengths and insulation levels, supports the structure. The device can cater to up to 200 head of dry lot beef or 100 range cows. Additional components and optional accessories, such as filter fabrics, ice chippers, and non-insulated base tube extensions, enhance the system's functionality.
The Model LB with Floatless Valve System features unmatched winter endurance for two to three head access. The entire tub of water is constantly and directly warmed by the wide column of ground heat that prevents freezing of the valve and plumbing, even with zero traffic. Cleaning is easy — lift out the tub, swirl the water and empty it out. The more complex and sensitive floatless valve (not made by Cobett) requires a strainer, even for city water. A diaphragm that senses the water weight activates this valve. The floatless valve water level may vary 1″ to 2″ from day to day due to changes in the atmospheric and/or water pressure. The floatless valve comes with a tool to set the water level.
