TD - Flue Dust Briquetting Machine
Flue dust briquetting machine is particularly adapted for converting iron ore fines, blast furnace flue dust, mill scale, steel slag, steel sludge and other sources of iron and iron compounds in finely divided state into briquettes as a substitute for lump ore in the natural state. Flue dust from steelmaking, containing rich iron as mill scale (70% by weight), is produced in large quantity annually. Mixed with sodium silicate and pressed into briquettes, flue dust could be charged into oxygen converter.

Binding agent is quite important in briquetting process. The type, quality, proportion of binders has a great influence on the strength of briquette. Sodium silicate, with a popular name water glass, is widely applicable for many materials in briquette production. And Portland cement is the most commonly used binder for cold-briquetting iron-rich fines. The main benefits of its use are: easy availability and use, low cost, good room-temperature strength development and near neutral effect on blast furnace reactions.
Flue dust briquetting machine could process various steel mill residues, such as flue dust, filter dust, BF dust, baghouse dust, iron dust, converter dust.
