Martin - Flue Gas Recirculation System
As an alternative to secondary air systems using only fresh air, we also offer flue gas recirculation. This process involves extracting flue gases downstream of the dedusting unit and returning them to the furnace to replace some of the secondary air. Not only are combustion-related pollutants and in particular NOx minimized in this way, but the thermal efficiency of the entire plant is also improved. The flue gas burden to be emitted into the environment is further reduced.
The recirculated flue gases are injected into the furnace by means of separate nozzles. Any secondary air still required for secondary combustion is introduced via an additional set of nozzles.
The ducts for the recirculated gas are insulated in order to prevent corrosive compounds from condensing on the walls and to keep heat loss to a minimum.
