Eliminating Product Waste from Seam Leakage

We received a request from a customer that produces flour for commercial baking. Food grade products for human consumption have strict stability standards and seal requirements to protect mixtures--product must be fully contained without leakage during shipping and storage. While using a competitor`s coated/sift-proof bag, the customer experienced significant leakage, resulting in considerable product loss and more significantly, a potential breach of product integrity.

Our engineers recommended discontinuing the use of U-Panel bulk bags--given their susceptibly to leakage at side corners and seams. InterBULK moved the customer to a tubular-style FIBC constructed of a higher quality material and designed with a tight-roll seam construction. The tight-roll seam created a true sift-proof barrier thereby eliminating the product leakage problem completely. The stronger bags also ensured stable product transport and durable storage.
