Freture - Model API 598 -Globe Valve
A Globe Valve with a metal seat, designed and produced to API 623 / API602, face to face to ANSI B16.10 with ANSI B16.5 flanges. API 598 compliance testing was performed. The maximum temperature is 260°C (at 1171 Kpa). Flexible graphite packing and a stainless steel-reinforced graphite gasket. Seats and disc are reinforced with 13CR for increased durability and wear.
Excellent for use with steam and at high temperatures. Globe valves are also frequently used in place of gate valves or other manual control valves when the user requires a greater degree of flow control. As the shaft descends, it has a `globe shape` on the bottom that gradually reduces the flow until it shuts off on the seat.
All globe valves include cast heat numbers for quality assurance in testing and mil certifications.

- With precision Acme threads and a polished finish, the stem`s unique non-rotating construction is easily adaptable for actuation. Horizontal installation is possible with this valve.
- CoCr alloy seat face hardfaced, ground, and lapped to a mirror polish. Conical seat with a smooth surface finish.
- Body guided disc precisely mates the hardfaced surface of the disc (hardfaced with 13Cr, CoCr alloy, SS 316, or Monel) with the mirror-finish surface of the body seat.
- Precision machined body and bonnet castings One-piece bonnet for improved alignment and fewer parts.
- Gland is made of two pieces for simple alignment.
- Renewable in-line rotating stem nut in Austenitic ductile iron.
- Torque arm minimises torque while reducing packing ring wear and allowing for improved sealing.
- Handwheels for impactors: Closing torques for globe and stop check valves are greater than those for gate valves with the same seat diameter and pressure class.
