Frey Manufacturing - Model 32D -Strap Adapter
The Frey Manufacturing 32D Strap Adapter is a specialized accessory designed for integrating plumbizers with mast arms or pedestrian poles in traffic control systems. It facilitates this connection by bolting onto a surface that lacks a pre-existing welded 1 ½” threaded hub typically required by the 45B model. The adapter is attached using two durable straps, each 1 1/2” wide and extending 40” in length, which can be adjusted on-site to the necessary dimensions. Important to its design are the pre-drilled strap holes that enable a grounding bolt to be drilled and tapped in accordance with NEC standards, ensuring electronic safety and functionality. This feature is crucial since fastening onto a painted surface doesn't inherently satisfy grounding requirements. The 32D is designed is for adapting a plumbizer to a mast arm or pedestrian pole by bolting to a surface where there is not a welded 1 ½” threaded hub to accept the 45B. It is attached with two straps 1 1/2” wide and come 40” long for field cutting to the appropriate length. The straps also have holes for a grounding bolt to be drilled and tapped to maintain the NEC ground. (Strapping to a painted surface is not an NEC ground).
