Unlike the common belt skimmers, this model has an angled belt. Since it hits the oil layer at a fairly flat angle, the liquid surface is set in motion, extracting the oil over a larger area. Thanks to the double redirection of the belt from horizontal to vertical, the oil skimmer requires only an extremely small installation space.
