G&G - Portable Agitators
Dissolutions and homogenizations of products with viscosities close to those of water allow the use of small mobiles such as marine type at high speeds, so the agitator can be very light since it will only consist of the motor, a guide bearing, the shaft and the mobile. This type of stirrer is portable but the question comes down to how to attach it to the different containers.
On the other hand, viscous products that produce foams or that do not allow high shear require slow agitators, which requires the use of reducers with the consequent increase in the weight of the equipment. These agitators are more technically reliable than the rapid ones since, in addition to the lower efforts and speeds, they will not exceed the critical speed.
The fixing system is linked to the use of the agitators.
Transporting the agitator through the different containers requires a common fixation for all containers as described below.
Another system consists of transporting the containers while keeping the agitator fixed in a mobile structure fixed to the wall (figure 1) or movable (figure 2).
Plastic containers with a metal outer cage allow a support to be attached to the cage.
