Franklin - Model Firestore -Galvanised Fire Protection Tank
Galvanised Firestore® tanks are site assembled using high-grade galvanised steel panels. They are a proven, robust and cost-effective solution for the storage of fire sprinkler and general fire protection water. Firestore® tanks are designed for ease of installation and low maintenance. A range of diameters, heights and capacities are available to suit individual project requirements. Durability and longevity are provided by the galvanised steel shell, which gives excellent overall corrosion protection. A tailor-made liner is fitted within the tank, which reduces corrosion of the tank interior. Galvanised Firestore® tanks can be designed for high wind speed and seismic load conditions.
Ease and speed of assembly.
No sealants are used in the tank shell, which makes installation straightforward and fast. It also results in a more reliable tank. Assembly is normally carried out at ground level using hydraulic jacking equipment and hand tools. Where it is not possible to use hydraulic jacks, assembly can be carried out using conventional methods.
Simplicity of foundations.
The tank can be built on a flat load bearing surface, typically of reinforced concrete. The tank shell is bolted to the foundation. The internal liner has a floor built into it.
Low maintenance & long life.
Tank wall panels are made from aluminium alloy to EN 48S-2 Type EN AW 5083-H22 with aluminium angle strengthening hoops to Grade 6082-T4 at the top and bottom. This provides an effective corrosion resistant tank shell, without the need for additional protective coatings. Stored water is separated from the tank shell by the internal liner, reducing a major cause of corrosion.
