Shangang - Galvanized Sheet Steel Coil

Galvanized sheet coil have two processing techniques: hot dip galvanizing (HDG) and electro galvanizing (EG).

• Hot-dip galvanized coils are produced using hot-rolled steel strips or cold-rolled steel strips as base plates through a continuous hot-dip galvanizing process. Hot-dip galvanized sheets are supplied as rectangular flat sheets after cross-cutting; hot-dip galvanized coils are supplied as rolls after being rolled. Hot-dip galvanized coils can therefore be divided into hot-rolled galvanized coils and cold-rolled hot-dip galvanized coils.
• Electro-galvanizing (EG), commonly known as cold galvanizing, uses an electrochemical method. Zinc ingots are used as anodes. Zinc atoms lose their electrons and become ions and dissolve into the electrolyte. The steel strip serves as the cathode, and zinc ions are on the steel strip. The obtained electrons are reduced into zinc atoms and deposited on the surface of the steel strip to form a coating.
