Belly tanks for generator container packages

A slab or belly tank will usually sit directly underneath your equipment to save space when there is no room for a separate tank. In recent years, we have seen an uptick in the design and build of slab tanks for data centres and other areas where space is at a premium.

Our bunded generator base tanks are comprised of an inner storage tank encased in an outer weatherproof bund to ensure any leakage or overfill is safely contained.

OTS slab tank capacities range from 10,000L up to 40,000L

Each tank is pre-fitted at our factory with a range of equipment, not limited to:

1. Automatic tank gauging

2. Combination high/bund overfill alarms

3. Overfill Prevention Devices (OPD)

4. Fuel filtration systems (DieselPure, Parker Racor, CJ Jensen)

5. Duty/standby pump sets

6. Advanced Pump/Filtration Control Panels

7. PLC/HMI

8. Tank integrated cabinets for above equipment

9. Remote Fill cabinets

10. Remote Filtration Cabinets

Slab/belly tanks are normally built to the same footprint as the generator they are serving and are designed to take structural loads of up to 75 tonnes in order to support your equipment.

Each tank is designed to meet client specifications and site constraints in terms of footprint and final placement of tank package.

OTS has met many challenges in design criteria, ranging from:

• structural tanks that are statically loaded with containerised generator sets,

• dynamically loaded requiring “skating” in to position with skates positioned below the tank, or

• positioned outboard if height restrictions prevail.

Additional designs feature structural integrity using exoskeleton support frames.
