Genesys - Model CAS -Calcium Sulphate Antiscalant
Genesys CAS has been developed as an antiscalant for use in Reverse Osmosis and Nano-Filtration systems operating with feed-waters containing high levels of Calcium sulphate. Genesys CAS is also effective against Calcium carbonate and other commonly found scaling species. The strong threshold properties shown by Genesys CAS against Calcium sulphate and Calcium carbonate enable membrane systems to be operated at their optimum recovery rate. This reduces the amount of feed water needed and the volume of concentrate requiring disposal. Consequently, significant savings can be made with both capital and operational costs.

- Genesys CAS should be dosed continuously to the feed water upstream of the cartridge filter.
- Typical dosage rates are 3-5mg/l.
- The optimum dosage rate can be calculated using the Genesys Membrane Master software. Genesys CAS can be diluted and is fully miscible with water in all proportions.
Health and Safety
Genesys CAS is a non-hazardous, synergistic blend of phosphonates and carboxylic acids and is fully compatible with carbon steel and commonly used materials of construction.
