Innovation, closeness to customers, and groundedness - these strengths helped Georg Fritzmeier make his saddlery successful quickly, right from its founding in 1926. And these strengths have set their stamp on our company to this day, as step by step we have developed from an artisan shop making seats and the first tarp covers for tractors into a high-tech manufacturer in metal and composites.

Today, the Fritzmeier Group works internationally and makes complete driver cabs, plastic modules and metal parts to meet the evolving challenges of the vehicle and agricultural industries. But some things have not changed – as an owner-operated family company, for generations we have been more innovative, more agile, and closer to customers.
That has set us apart since 1926.

2000 to today

Start of bonding manufacturing of metal panels for industrial vehicles. Start of pipe-bending technology. SMC moulding press technology. Introduction of flange technology.

1990 - 1999

Spin-off of Fritzmeier Technologie, Fritzmeier Systems and Fritzmeier Composite. Cooperation with ANGUS-PALM, SIMS (USA) in cab production.

1980 - 1989

Take-over of the company TIM in Bergues, France. SAVE rescue containers made of plastic. RTM-manufacturing for truck high roofs. First cubing production for BMW.

1970 - 1979

Start of industrial tool construction. The first skis completely made of synthetic materials (equipper for Rosi Mittermeier), manufacturing of boats made of synthetic materials and surf boards. Development of HYDROSPEED.

1960 - 1969

Building main production facility in Grosshelfendorf. Development of the safety-bracket for tractors. Manufacturing of the first driver’s cabs for construction machines from the company Zeppelin.

1926 - 1959

Founding of the company as a saddlery by Georg Fritzmeier. Tractor seats as the original equipment manufacturer (Schlüter company). First tarpaulin tops for tractors.
