Geoser - PVC Waterstop
PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) is a material with a very hard structure. The usage area is very wide and PVCs are used in 50% of the construction sector in the world. Plasticizers are used to soften PVC products because they are extremely hard during production. In order to accelerate the process, various catalysts are produced in our plant by processing extruded materials, hardener and mixture containing plasticizing materials under suitable temperature and pressure and shaping in extruders.
It is necessary to form joints in reinforced concrete structures in various places as mentioned below. It is necessary to leave joints at some points of concrete and reinforced concrete structures. The joints left in some parts are defined as expansion joints in order to prevent damages that may be caused in buildings due to expansion and collapse of reinforced concrete structural members. When the cement plug used for the construction is completed, it is necessary to leave the expansion soil in order to prevent the deformation that may occur due to the decrease in volume due to a decrease in volume, to damage the structure. As is known, the expansion in the constructions is so large that the creeping movements are not neglected and they are repetitive movements. Besides this, due to the movement of the floor under the structure or the jamming, there is a downward movement ie collapse. On the other hand, joints which are stopped for a while and then left at the point of reinforcement are arranged perpendicularly to the direction of the pressure stresses. Joints arranged in the structure due to thermal expansion or ground movements show constriction. These types of joints are described as contraction joints. PVC water retaining tapes are used in the joints arranged to prevent deformations that may occur in the structures subjected to various horizontal or vertical movements due to the above reasons and to ensure waterproofing.
